Good Free App of the Day: OurPact is a powerful new parental control app that is effective and easy-to-use. Plus it’s FREE!

OurpactI’m not sure that I’ve been this excited about an app in a very long time. Particularly one that wasn’t one of my favorite games. OurPact is an easy-to-use parental control software that not only helps parents control their children’s’ iPad (or iPhone or iPod Touch) usage, it enables them to do it remotely (and immediately). Parents can restrict access to games and to the internet, and they can set up schedules for when devices can be used. Want a device-free family dinner? No problem. Want to cut your kid off after X amount of hours of use per day? Done. This app can be a powerful tool for parents to help control their kids’ device usage.

To make things more exciting, OurPact is FREE!

Ourpact 2I will be the first to admit that I am not always as strict as I should be about enforcing the limits we have set for iPad usage. My kids are masters at recognizing when I am distracted or otherwise occupied, then they swoop in and ask to use the iPads and hope that I won’t notice that they’ve been playing for three hours straight. I’m exaggerating, of course, but there are certainly days that I lose grip on the reins a bit. We’ve already installed OurPact on our iPads and have been putting it to good use. I can already see that it’s going to make my life easier.

Not only can you set up schedules and limit times, you can also completely block certain apps. This could be especially useful if you don’t want your child using apps like SnapChat or other social media apps. Learn more about OurPact at

After conducting hundreds of hours of research with child professionals and then teaming up with parents and industry experts, OurPact developed this streamlined app for the iOS that is carefully constructed to be the leading parental control solution for mobile devices.

OurPact is easy to use, easy to set up and great for parents or families who are concerned with their children’s over use of technology. Whether you are introducing a device to your child for the first time, or simply have a teenager who spends too much time on social media, OurPact is the perfect parental control solution for your iOS family.

Please note:
Due to current iOS limitations, users may encounter an issue with using any setting that hides apps. When apps come back from hiding they will be restored onto your home screen in alphabetical order and outside of any folders that they may have previously been in. This is an iOS limitation, not an issue with OurPact.
